Bayang

Ayu (16) becomes obsessed with the beauty standards she sees in social media and magazines. Covering her mirror with notes about what it means to be “beautiful,” she pushes herself to change her appearance through makeup, dieting, and other painful efforts. As her reflection disappears behind these expectations, so does her sense of self. Overwhelmed, Ayu escapes to the beach, where an unexpected encounter with the girl she idolizes challenges her beliefs and reveals a different understanding of beauty and self-acceptance.
